THE COUNTY ASSEMBLY OF SIAYA
In the Matter of consideration of the Siaya County Annual Development Plan (ADP), 2021/2022
Section 126 (1) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012 provides that every County Government to prepare an Annual Development Plan in accordance with Article 220 (2) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Additionally, Section 126 (3) states that “the County Executive Committee member responsible for Planning shall, not later than the 1st September in each year, submit the development plan to the County Assembly for its approval, and send a copy to the Commission on Revenue Allocation and the National Treasury”.
The proposed Siaya County Annual Development Plan (ADP), 2021/2022 has been submitted to the County Assembly as required by Section 126 (3) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. The ADP, having been tabled to the County Assembly, stood committed to the County Assembly Committee on Budget and Appropriations for consideration and thereafter reporting to the House.
Pursuant to Article 196 (1)(b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, the Committee invites interested members of the Public to submit any written memorandum they may have on the ADP, 2021/2022.
Ward Development Committees; Youth Groups; Women Groups; Groups of PWDs; and Civil Society Groups are encouraged to participate.
Groups or individuals that may want to directly interact with the Committee are advised to contact the Budget and Appropriations Committee Clerk, Mr. Antony Omollo through mobile no. 0713-036494 by Tuesday, 20th October, 2020, who will coordinate for physical interaction with the Committee by way of representation or virtual communication with strict adherence to the COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines.
Memoranda on the proposed Siaya County ADP, 2021/2022 can as well be dropped at the respective County Assembly Ward Offices so as to reach the Committee by 23rd October, 2020 at 4.00pm.
The proposed Siaya County ADP for FY 2021/2022 can be accessed through the Siaya County Assembly website (www.siayaassembly.go.ke/downloads. A copy of the Plan is also available in each of the 30 County Assembly Ward Offices for reference purposes.
Written memoranda may be forwarded to the Clerk of the County Assembly of Siaya, P.O. Box 7 – 40600, Siaya; hand-delivered to the Office of the Clerk, Siaya County Assembly Buildings, Siaya; or emailed to clerk@siayaassembly.go.ke; to be received not later than Friday, 23rd October, 2020 at 4.00p.m.
