INVITATION FOR SUBMISSION OF MEMORANDA AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION.
WHEREAS Section 14 (1) and 31(2) of The Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, provides that Members of the Municipal Boards and Town Committees will be appointed by the Governor with the approval of the County Assembly, the below listed nominees for the Municipal Board of Siaya Municipality and Town Committees for Yala, Usenge, Ukwala and Sega are invited to appear before the Assembly Select Committee on Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Survey at the County Assembly Building in Siaya on Friday 27th December, 2024 from 11:30AM.

The nominees are required to collect vetting forms from the office of the Clerk of the County Assembly on Monday 23rd December,2024 or Tuesday 24th December, 2024 between 8:00AM to 1:00PM or download them from the Assembly website www.siayaassembly.go.ke and return them with certified copies of the under listed documents on or before Friday 27th December, 2024 by 11:00AM
- ID Card/Passport
- Curriculum Vitae, personal credentials and academic certificates
- Current compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
- Current compliance certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Current compliance certificate from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
- Current compliance certificate from respective professional bodies (where applicable)
- Current compliance certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- Accreditation from Commission of University Education for foreign degrees (where applicable)
- Documentary Evidence as stipulated in Section 14(6) of the Urban Arear and Cities Act, 2011
- Duly filled vetting questionnaire
Members of the public are invited to submit any information, memoranda or petition that may have a bearing on the selection of the nominees. The views and memoranda may be forwarded to the Clerk of the County Assembly of Siaya, P.O Box 7-40600, Siaya; hand delivered to the Office of the Clerk – Siaya County Assembly Building or emailed to clerk@siayaassembly.go.ke to be received on or before Friday 27th December, 2024, 11:30AM.
