Day Two of the induction of Members of the County Assembly is currently underway with dominant discourse being on the essence of House Committees.
House Committees ensure that the County Executive is held accountable and enables the Assembly to undertake in-depth probe into issues of county importance and make recommendations for improvement.
Key resource persons have been drawn from the Parliament of Kenya.
The induction retreat aims at among other things preparing the MCAs for their roles once the House officially convenes.
Governor James Orengo is set to have an engagement with the MCAs later in the day.
