HOUSE APPROVES SELECTION PANEL NOMINEES

The recruitment process of the County Secretary, Secretary/CEO of the County Public Service Board, and Members of the Siaya County Public Service Board is set to begin in earnest after the County Assembly this afternoon approved the nomination of five individuals put forward by Governor James Orengo. These individuals will form the Selection Panel responsible for leading this process.
While presenting the Report of the House Committee on Appointments, which conducted approval hearings for the nominees, Usonga MCA Hon. Sylvester Madialo stated that the committee was fully persuaded that the nominees met the requisite qualifications for appointment.
Having considered the suitability, capacity, and integrity of the nominees, and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, the County Governments Act, 2012, and the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approvals), Act 2017, the County Assembly approved the following appointments: –
1. FCPA Risper Olick Chairperson
2. Ambala Fred Edward Otieno Member
3. Francis Ochung Member
4. Alphones Castro Okumu Member
5. Gladys Olambo Okoth Member
