GOVERNOR ORENGO’S NOMINEES TO THE SIAYA COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD AND COUNTY ATTORNEY VETTED

The County Assembly Select Committee on Appointments, chaired by the Speaker George Okode, today conducted a vetting exercise for H.E. Governor James Orengo’s nominees to the positions of Member of the Siaya County Public Service Board and County Attorney.
The vetting was carried out pursuant to the provisions of Article 179(2)(b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, Section 58A of the County Governments Act, 2012, read together with the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017.
Nominees to the Siaya County Public Service Board who appeared before the committee were:
- Amb. Frost Edwin Otieno Josiah
- Rose Achieng
- Lawrence M. Odero
- Dorothy Akinyi Owino
- Oscar Onyango
Emma Velma Maumo was vetted for the position of County Attorney.
The committee, having concluded the vetting exercise, is expected to table its report on the suitability of the nominees before the House next week.
