Ahead of the First Sitting of the House, the County Assembly has this morning conducted Pre-Swearing and Orientation Sessions for all the gazetted Members of the County Assembly.

The exercise which commenced at 9:00 am included registration of the Members, collection of their bio-data information, briefings by the Office of the Clerk on significant legislative matters, briefing on House procedures and tour of the County Assembly Buildings.

The 40 members of the County Assembly convene for the First Sitting of the 3rd Assembly on Tuesday, 20th September, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and are expected to elect their Speaker after taking the oath of office.
