Second on the hot seat was Mr. Benedict Abonyo Omollo – the CECM nominee for the Department of Finance and Economic Planning.
If approved by the August House, he underscored his commitment to digitize revenue collection in a bid to ensure that the County’s local revenue is profoundly boosted.
He also emphasized that if the House puts him at the helm of the crucial Finance and Economic Planning docket, he will tap on the Siaya disapora and other international development partners to ensure increased resource mobilization in a bid to help the county break its development ceilings.
He further promised to tackle corruption by instituting periodic financial control actions in an endeavor to firmly deal with the runaway cases of losses of county funds.
