VETTING OF NOMINEES TO SIAYA COUNTY HEALTH FACILITIES HOSPITAL BOARD

In fulfillment of Section 12(1) and (2) of the Siaya County Health Services Act, 2019, the County Assembly Committee on Health Services Chaired by Central Gem Ward MCA, Hon. Sylas Madingu, has today completed the vetting of nominees’ to Siaya County Health Facilities Hospital Boards.
At the end of the two days’ approval hearings, a total of 48 nominees out of the list of 70 persons forwarded to the Assembly by the CECM Health Services, appeared before the committee where they were interrogated on their academic qualifications and professional competence for the jobs.
The Committee also ascertained their clearance by relevant institutions including the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Higher Education Loans Board (Helb).
The Committee is expected to produce a report on all the nominees and table it in the House for consideration, debate and approval.
If approved, the nominees will serve as Members of the Boards of the following Hospitals: –
- Siaya County Referral Hospital
- Uyawi Sub-County Hospital
- Madiany Sub-County Hospital
- Ambira Sub-County Hospital
- Rwamwa Sub-County Hospital
- Bondo Sub-County Hospital
- Got Agulu Sub-County Hospital
- Sigomre Sub-County Hospital
- Yala Sub-County Hospital
