VETTING OF GOVERNORS’ NOMINEES FOR THE POSITION OF CHIEF OFFICERS

Pursuant to Section 45(1) of the County Governments Act, 2012 read together with Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017 and the Siaya County Assembly Standing Order 200(5) (f), the County Assembly Committees on Governance and Administration; Lands, Physical Planning, Surveying and Housing; Tourism, Wildlife Conservation, Culture, Arts and Sports; and Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, have today conducted vetting of the following nominees for the position of Chief Officers: –
1. Maurine Awuor Onyango – Chief Officer, Department of ICT and Public Service Transformation
2. Walter Okelo Ochieng – Chief Officer, Department of Governance and Administration
3. Joseph Oloo Mboha – Chief Officer, Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Surveying and Housing
4. Wilfred Ouma Nyagudi – Chief Officer, Department of Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts
5. Jared Onyango Abayo – Chief Officer, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources
The respective Committees are expected to table their reports and recommendations on the nominees before the House within the course of the week.
