The deliberations centered on the department’s operations and the status of implementation of the departmental projects budgeted for in the Financial Year 2022/2023.

During the meeting, attended by the top brass of the Health Department, the CECM – Dr. Martin K’onyango, downplayed recent claims of transfer of officers including medical superintendents in various Sub-County Hospitals terming it as ‘hot air’.

Dr. K’onyango told the committee that presently there were no plans of effecting any transfers within the department and termed such reports as baseless.

The CECM sought the Committee’s support in the implementation and realization of the department’s mandates, objectives and goals.
